[Before + After] A Stately Home Gets Coastal Inspired Style

Welcome home to this new construction property that can provide just over 6,000 square feet of comfort and a quality lifestyle home buyers aspire to. Here at Chicagoland Home Staging, we were excited to showcase this unique property and highlight its craftsmanship. This home provides a casual sophistication that is inspired by the coast. The simple luxury of this stately home can be found throughout the property easily checking off many of a homebuyer’s must-haves in a home.

Our team chose to keep the furnishings and decor neutral to create a cohesive calming look seamlessly connecting each room to one another. Mixing neutral hues with various textures and materials to entice a homebuyer’s five senses.

Family Room Chic

Dark hardwood floors ground the light and airy furnishings our team used in this space. We wanted to define the space without distracting home buyers from the positive features in this room including the fireplace, barn door, floor to ceiling windows — not to mention the beamed and beadboard ceiling.

Family Room Before Home Staging

To maximize seating in this family room we decided to use a symmetrical furniture layout that mimics either side of the room. This allows for two couches to fit comfortably in the space while allowing the traffic flow to move freely in and out of this room. We also used low profile furniture so the fireplace and view out the window would remain worthy characteristics in this space.

Intimate Living Room

At first glance, this room, slated as the living room appears small. When a room lacks personality or furnishings a home buyers mind starts to try to define the space.

  • Could this be a dining room?
  • Is this room an office?

Living Room Before Home Staging

Our team clearly defined this space as a living room to share intimate conversations with family and friends. Again, we played with texture and pattern to set the scene of this luxe look. We also chose glass tables to enhance the reflection of the natural light and not weigh down the room with bulky furniture.

Stylish Dining Room

This dining room has all the details to attract a home buyer. Just look at that designer lighting — it exudes a fashion forward personality ready to entertain the next gathering. Like the living room, a buyer may be wondering if this room is too small to fit a large dining table.

Formal Dining Room Before Home Staging

But, it’s definitely not! We easily fit a six-top formal dining table in this room. The patterned rug not only anchors the room, but it completes the stylish look the chandelier had been suggesting playing off each other nicely.
