Before & After Dining Room Staging Spotlight

Chicagoland Home Staging Dining Room Staging Naperville

While staging a home, it is important to uplift and refresh each room in the home in a way that ties everything together. In fact, buyers are more drawn to purchase homes that feel fresh, clean, and elegant. Neutral, modern tones throughout a home allows for buyers to see the space with a clean slate. Home staging also helps the home sell much faster.

The designers at Chicagoland Home Staging recently had the opportunity to stage and revamp a beautiful home in the DuPage area. Here is an exclusive “Before and After” look at the dining room staging of this home.

(Similar to the dining room featured on our blog in December, however this one was already fully furnished, rather than housing a handful of boxes prior to staging.)

Before: Dining Room Staging

This dining room features French doors, large windows, and high ceilings with crown molding. Before our designers staged this dining room, it was furnished in dark wood tones along with cream-colored wallpaper. A large, ornate chandelier hung above the dining room table, somewhat blocking the view through the French doors.

While it was uncluttered and easy for buyers to envision the functionality of the room, the interior design was particular to the previous owner. Our designers decided to create a staging plan to play off the unique features of the home while simplifying the design.

After: Dining Room Staging

After staging, the dining room feels bigger, brighter, and airier. Our designers kept a large wooden dining table in the center and removed additional furniture create an expansive look. The walls were painted a neutral grey, with a darker hue to offset the light colors throughout the room.

On either side of the French doors, artwork with shiny metal frames were added, tying in with the metallic décor on the dining table. Our designers chose these plush white leather chairs in particular because of the line that draws your eye down to the rug. The area rug brings all the colors and tones in the dining room together.

Overall, the home staging of this dining room gives it a light and fresh ambiance. The white and gray neutral colors paired with metallic décor and accents adds an air of elegance. In a dining room like this, potential buyers can envision themselves eating dinner and unwinding with family on special occasions or any day of the week.
